BioTreatLP™ acts on the bacteria added to the water body and the water body’s indigenous bacteria to stimulate the metabolism of those bacteria. The stimulated bacteria out compete the algae spores for those nutrients / nutrient intermediates that spores require to go to bloom.
As nature doesn’t always have a balance between bacteria and algae, BioTreatLP™ by stimulating both added and existing bacteria restores that balance which then inhibits the cycle of algal spores to bloom.
BioTreatLP™ is not toxic, even to algae. BioTreatLP™ promotes biologically active water – that is, water that has bacteria of sufficient activity to out-compete algae spores - and will render water bodies that are not plagued by algae blooms.
BioTreatLP™ is benign, non-toxic, biodegradable, non-flammable and harmless to fish, aquatic plants and wildlife.
